Billa 2 Release Review

Tamil actor Ajith Kumar’s much-awaited Tamil movie Billa 2 releases today. Directed by Chakri Toleti, the movie stars ex-Miss India Parvathy Omanakuttan as the female lead.
Ajith plays the role of an underworld don in the gangster thriller film, which is a prequel to the 2007 film, Billa. Billa which was also a remake of the 1980 Rajinikanth movie of the same name.
The story focusses on how David (Ajith), an ordinary man from the coastal regions of Tamil Nadu, becomes Billa, a dreaded underworld don.
Apart from Ajith and Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bruna Abdullah, Vidyut Jamwal and Sudhanshu Pandey also play important roels in the movie.
Initially, Vishnuvardhan was roped in as the director of the film. But due to schedule problems, he was replaced by Chakri Tholeti, who wrote a new script for the film.
The music for the film is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who also worked on the score of the 2007 flick.
